We start by taking an inventory of what is in the home. We always seek to use what is there as the base for the design. Before getting deep into it, you will want to begin to remove all of your personal items—family pictures, sports memorabilia and/or political items. It’s best to start with a clean canvas and remove anything that could present an obstacle to a buyer seeing your home in its best light.
Many of us have entirely too much stuff. The more we can pare down what is in the home, the better it will show. You don’t want people looking at your stuff—you want them looking at your house. We try to make this an easy process by always keeping storage on hand for folks. We will support you in moving items to the storage and will give it up to 60 days while we are marketing your house.
We have a 1000-square-foot staging warehouse full of interesting and unique items and based upon the size and price of your home, we will supplement your items with our fresh picks. We try to create harmony with your style and accent the best of it. The end result should be a space that doesn’t feel staged. It will feel authentic and look downright spectacular, we are certain of it.
The biggest opportunity for you to show your house in the best light is by working with paint, light and mirrors. Homes that are well lit, light and bright are better received than houses that are dark. The union of the right pain with the right light bounced off of the perfectly placed mirrors will open the space making it feel not only bigger, but happier and warmer.
